A prized local delicacy is avgotaraho (Greek bottarga), traditionally produced in lagoon areas such as Messolonghi. To the west of Mount Parnassus stretches the historic olive grove of Amfissa, one of the oldest continuous olive-growing landscapes in Greece. Protected as part of the Delphic landscape, it represents a living connection between nature, agriculture, and history.
