Born and raised in Mesologgi, Konstantinos Pasiopoulos was instilled with two core values: freedom and the sea. The iconic Pelades—the wooden shacks nestled in the saltwater lagoon—embodied the connection between his city, its aquatic heritage, and its culinary traditions.

This bond with his homeland inspired him to establish Pasiopoulos AEBE in 2009, building on the family business journey that began in 1999. In 2011, his company opened a retail store offering avgotaracho and other high-quality local products. In 2012, he began crafting unique spirits that capture the taste and spirit of Mesologgi: Ouzo Pelada received a silver award in 2016 and a gold award in 2017, while Tsipouro Pelada secured a bronze award in 2017 during its inaugural international competition participation.
