Known as «Ελληνικό Απόσταγμα», Greek Distillate is the only tasting event in Greece dedicated exclusively to Greek distillates, celebrating the country’s long tradition and modern innovation in spirit production. The event brings together small artisanal producers and established distilleries, showcasing the diversity and quality of Greek alcoholic beverages.
Taste Traditional and Modern Greek Spirits
Visitors will have the chance to sample a wide range of traditional and contemporary Greek spirits and liqueurs, including:
- Tsipouro and tsikoudia
- Ouzo
- Fruit distillates and grape brandies
- Greek liqueurs and sweet spirits
- Regional specialities such as Corfiot kumquat
The exhibition highlights products that stand out for their craftsmanship, authenticity, and premium quality, clearly differentiating them from mass-produced alternatives.

Learn, Taste, and Experience Greek Distillation
Greek Distillate is more than a tasting event. Through a series of presentations, guided tastings, and educational activities (to be announced shortly), visitors will learn how to enjoy Greek spirits on their own or paired with complementary flavours. The event also offers valuable insight into the heritage, production methods, and regional identity of Greek distillates.
A Unique Venue with Panoramic Views
The exhibition takes place at the SNFCC Lighthouse, a striking venue offering panoramic views of Athens, Piraeus, and the Saronic Gulf. As part of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre — home to the Greek National Opera and the National Library of Greece — the Lighthouse provides a world-class setting for this premium spirits event. The venue is fully accessible to people with disabilities.
