With ‘The Bear’s Honey’ in Paranesti, Drama, Macedonia, this five-hour adventure follows the course of the Nestos River through the extraordinary virgin landscape of the Frakto forest — discovering the remote mountain apiary locations where some of Greece’s finest honey is produced. “To Meli tis Arkoudas” (“The Bear’s Honey”) is a small family-owned apiary facility that has been active since 1950. Our facility is situated 80km from the island of Thassos and 60km from the forest of Fraktos.
