Description
At ‘The Bear’s Honey’ apiary in Paranesti, Drama, Macedonia, this two-hour craft workshop teaches the ancient art of making natural beeswax ointments and cosmetics. Using pure beeswax from the extraordinary Frakto forest hives, visitors create their own healing products. “To Meli tis Arkoudas” (“The Bear’s Honey”) is a small family-owned apiary facility that has been active since 1950. Our facility is situated 80km from the island of Thassos and 60km from the forest of Fraktos.
