Description
In the heart of Koropi, just 10km from Athens Airport, Attica, Nikolou Winery occupies a classically beautiful stone building with large arches that embody the traditional architectural spirit of the Mesogia. This elegant estate has been producing wines — including retsina — that honour the deep Attic wine heritage of the region since 1872.
Beginning in 1991, outdated winemaking equipment was gradually replaced with modern stainless-steel temperature-controlled tanks. Visitors can see the production premises and the cellar, with a video presentation on the winery’s history since 1875 and a presentation on sparkling wines.
