Gala Onou – Farma Stratis breeds donkeys in Avlona, Attica – Athens, on the foothills of Parnitha Mountain — a one-hectare farm with ten indoor stables carefully separated into pregnant, adult, mother, and foal areas. The donkeys graze in a fenced outdoor area and indoors depending on weather, fed according to a diet prescribed by an equine veterinary specialist who also carries out regular health checks. At the same time, regular microbiological and medical checks by a specialised dairy laboratory ensure the highest quality of the organic donkey milk produced — one of the rarest and most nutritionally remarkable dairy products in the world.
