Our first stop, Alea Brewing, invites you into the world of craft brewing at its microbrewery in the Metamorphosis area of Athens. Brewing exceptional beers packaged exclusively in cans has been Alea Brewing’s strategic goal for the past three years. Beyond crafting beers, Alea Brewing is on a mission to raise environmental awareness by featuring extinct animals on its labels and cans, emphasizing the need to protect the natural environment.

The tour begins with an introduction and a glimpse into the brewery’s history, followed by an exploration of the production areas and the equipment used in the brewing process. The experience concludes with a tasting session, allowing visitors to sample both core and one-off beers. As a thoughtful touch, Alea Brewing provides an opportunity for visitors (aged 18 and above) to purchase their preferred beers and unique merchandise.

Our journey continues to Kokotos Estate, a haven dating back to the 1970s when George Kokotos and his family decided to embrace a life away from the city in Stamata. Positioned on the slopes of Mount Pendeli, the estate offers stunning panoramic views. Visitors are treated to a guided tour of the vineyards, winery, and barrel cellar. A longer walk through the olive groves and vegetable garden, cultivated by permaculture principles, reveals the estate’s commitment to sustainable practices. The experience crescendos with wine tasting at special monastic tables, providing a picturesque view of the vineyards and the majestic mountains of Pendeli and Parnitha.
