The Reservation Process
The user selects a Producer, museum, or activity based on the following criteria:
• The type of product (wine, honey, oil, etc.)
• The region (Attica, Peloponnese, Thessaly, etc.) or through a map displaying all partnering entities.
• The date of the visit.
The platform presents a list of partners that match the user’s choices. The user selects based on each Partner’s profile, which provides information about the visitor’s experience when they go there.
The Gastronomy Tours user then requests to visit the partner of their choice by clicking “BOOK NOW.” Immediately, the Partner receives an email informing them that someone has made a booking for a specific number of visitors on a particular day and time. The Partner must respond to this email within 24 hours, accepting or declining the booking. Otherwise, the user will receive an automated message that the Partner is unavailable.
If the Partner accepts the booking for a tour and tasting session by clicking “Accept Request,” the user is charged €3/person, as well as for activities valued under €20/person. For activities that exceed €20/person, 15% of the activity value is deducted from the Partner.
At the same time, the user and the Partner will receive a message with each other’s contact details, should they wish to communicate. This message also serves as the booking confirmation, which the user presents upon arrival at the Partner’s location.
Users are charged the listed price for the visit or activity, as indicated in the Partner’s profile on GASTRONOMY TOURS, once the Partner accepts the booking and issues a receipt or invoice to the USER.
In case the visitors make purchases from the PRODUCERS (not the ACTIVITY PROVIDERS or museums) during their visit, they are entitled to a 10% discount on purchases exceeding €30 per person or a different discount according to the PRODUCER’s discount policy. The details of the discount will always be mentioned on the booking document sent to the USER and the PRODUCER.
If the PARTNER does not accept the booking, the visitor will receive an email notification indicating the unavailability of the PARTNER, and the reserved amount will be automatically released.
If the PARTNER rejects the booking request due to unavailability, they may send an email to Gastronomy Tours with two or three alternative dates, so the visitor can be informed and submit a new request.
