How Gastronomy Tours works with Museums

Πατήστε ΕΔΩ για Ελληνικά

Users choose between different Museums depending on:

  • The type of product (wine, honey, olive oil, etc.)
  • The destination (Attica, Peloponnese, Thessaly, etc.) or through a map showing all museums.
  • The month of the visit

The platform displays a series of Museums that match the users’ selections and then choose according to the Museums’ profiles presented in Gastronomy Tours

To make a request, users pay a reservation fee to Gastronomy Tours online which is refunded immediately if the request is rejected.

The Museum then receives an email and eventually a text message, informing that someone made a reservation for a certain number of visitors, day, and time. The Museum must respond within 24 hours at the latest, otherwise, the visitor will receive an automated message that there is no availability.

If the Museum accepts the request by clicking “Accept request” in response to the above email/text message, the visitor will receive a voucher with the reservation details which will be used as proof of reservation, presents it to the museum upon arrival, and pays the cost of the tour or activity directly to the museum.

In case the Museum does not wish to accept the request, they may press “Reject request” and the visitor will receive an email informing that the Museum is not available, and the amount deposited during the reservation is then immediately refunded.

The Museum has also the possibility to request an advance payment from the visitor, which is deposited to a Gastronomy Tours account first and will be then transferred to the associated party’s account a few days after the visit, charging the associated party 2.0€/person.

Should the visitor make purchases from a museum located within a producer’s premises, then the museum must provide a discount of 15% for purchases over 20€/person.

Should visitors make purchases from a museum not located within a producer’s premises, the museum has no obligation of a discount for purchases.
