On Sunday, November 12, wineries across Greece will celebrate World Wine Tourism Day, inviting you to join them in the festivities. Visitors can tour vineyards, meet Greek wine producers, enjoy scenic views, explore wine production and ageing areas, taste new and aged vintages, and learn about this year’s fresh harvest.

Originally established as European Wine Tourism Day in 2009, this celebration expanded globally in 2019 and takes place annually on the second Sunday in November. Across Greece, regional wine producer associations will be participating, including:

  • Wine Producers of Northern Greece
  • Wine Producers of Central Greece
  • Peloponnese Vineyard Wine Producers Association
  • The Aegean Islands Vine Growers Association
  • Crete Wine Producers Network

This event offers a unique opportunity to dive into the world of Greek wine, discover the winemaking process, and sample exceptional wines. Wineries are open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and each regional association can provide more details about participating wineries and specific events:
