Its presence evokes the ancient Panthessalian sanctuary of Itonia Athena (Minerva), a sacred ground revered since prehistoric eras, nestled alongside the meandering banks of the river Kouralios, now known as Sophaditis, nestled amidst the looming Agrafa mountains.
