Description
Gralista Farm is located in the traditional mountainous village of Ellinopyrgos in the Karditsa district of Thessaly, close to Trikala, at an altitude of 560 metres. Since 2015, the farm has been rearing the goats of Skopelos — a distinguished Greek breed known for its high-fat milk content and flavourful meat — through a fully organic process that continues throughout the year in Ellinopyrgos and its surroundings. The farm’s main products are milk, cheese, feta, and meat, all produced using traditional methods, combining traditional infrastructure with modern technology to guarantee consistently high quality.
Cheese Production Visit and Tasting
- Mountain Farm Visit: Visit Gralista Farm in the mountains of Karditsa and meet the Skopelos goat herd — learning about the organic rearing methods that produce milk of exceptional fat content and flavour in this beautiful Thessaly highland setting.
- Artisan Cheese & Dairy: See how Gralista produces its artisan cheese, feta, and dairy products using traditional methods — understanding how 560-metre altitude grazing on organic pasture translates directly into superior flavour.
- Farm Lunch & Tasting: Enjoy a farm lunch or tasting session featuring Gralista’s freshest dairy products alongside seasonal farm food — one of the most authentic mountain farm experiences in Thessaly.
