PART 1 – THE TOUR
The cooking class begins with the most essential part: picking the products. Your cook will welcome you to the open kitchen area, guiding you through the steps of the cooking lesson. Together, you’ll stroll through the picturesque streets of the village of Archanes, visiting local grocery stores to choose ingredients. Sensitive raw materials and meat will be provided before processing and cooking, enriching your knowledge of local products and delicacies.
PART 2 – THE CLASS
After gathering groceries, head to private open kitchens with a beautiful sea view. Our experienced cook will guide you through every step of the dishes’ preparation, helping you create dishes that taste and look like those in every Cretan home.
WHAT YOU WILL COOK
With the guidance of your private cook, create the following recipes:
Cretan salad: Traditional Greek Salad constructed with local ingredients
Tzatziki with local yogurt, cucumber, garlic, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Gemista: Greek stuffed and baked vegetables
“Kolokithokeftedes”: Traditional Zucchini Frites with feta cheese
PART 3 – THE MEAL
Time to taste what you prepared! At the end of the cooking class, enjoy a signature menu for all tastes. Relax and converse about food and other important things in life, accompanied by a glass or two of cool white, rose, or red local wine.
