Users choose between different Museums depending on:
- The type of product (wine, honey, olive oil, etc.)
- The destination (Attica, Peloponnese, Thessaly, etc.) or through a map showing all museums.
- The month of the visit
The platform displays a series of Museums that match the users’ selections and then choose according to the Museums’ profiles presented in Gastronomy Tours
To make a request, users pay a reservation fee to Gastronomy Tours online which is refunded immediately if the request is rejected.
The Museum then receives an email and eventually a text message, informing that someone made a reservation for a certain number of visitors, day, and time. The Museum must respond within 24 hours at the latest, otherwise, the visitor will receive an automated message that there is no availability.
If the Museum accepts the request by clicking “Accept request” in response to the above email, the visitor will receive a voucher with the reservation details which will be used as proof of reservation, present it to the museum upon arrival, and pay the cost of the tour or activity directly to the museum.
In case the Museum does not wish to accept the request, they may press “Reject request” and the visitor will receive an email informing that the Museum is not available, and the amount deposited during the reservation is then immediately refunded.
GASTRONOMY TOURS is remunerated for Museum visits and activities worth less than 20€/person directly by the visitors with an amount equal to €1.50/person once their request has been accepted by the MUSEUM. For activities worth more than 20€/person GASTRONOMY TOURS is paid with a 15% commission of the activity price that is deducted from the Museum. Upon completion of the reservation, GASTRONOMY TOURS issues a coupon and sends it both to the Museum and the User, who must present it to the Museum as proof of reservation.
5. Visitors pay the nominal price of the visit or activity as presented on the MUSEUM’S profile to Gastronomy Tours once the MUSEUM has accepted the requested visit or activity that they have booked, and issues a receipt to the USER while the MUSEUM will have to issue an invoice to GASTRONOMY TOURS for the amount due, not including the 1.5€ booking fee for visits or the 15% commission for activities as it will be mentioned on the booking confirmation voucher that the Producer receives once has accepted the booking request.
