The Boutaris winery in Crete is located on the outskirts of the village of Skalani on the Phantaxometoho estate. Located just 8 km from Heraklion city center and 4 km from the archaeological site of Knossos, it is the jewel of the Archanes viticultural zone.
The Phantaxometoho estate, known as “the priory of phantoms,” owes its name to the efforts of its previous owner to protect it from pirate raids by spreading rumors that ghosts haunt the estate.
The winery is open to the public and has a complete range of services for visitors.
Winery and vineyard tour and wine tasting of eight awarded wines from all over Greece served with a meal (salad, three aperitifs, main course, and dessert).
