6. OUR PROCESS
The Gastronomy Tours website aims to “connect” Users to Suppliers. GASTRONOMY TOURS provides information on Suppliers, which includes their business story, location and premises, production, products, etc. The GASTRONOMY TOURS site presents the profiles of registered Suppliers organised for easy access; it includes a calendar of events related to gastronomy, such as festivals and other gastronomic customs. The site also features a blog with the latest news in the gastronomy world. GASTRONOMY TOURS currently focuses on Greece, highlighting producers of Greek gastronomic products, customs, and traditions. Our goal is to expand gradually and include Suppliers from other countries as well.
On our website, you can locate/identify Suppliers through the following filters/parameters:
•By location, through the interactive map featured on the GT homepage, displaying the location of every Supplier.
• By product category, pressing the drop-down button “Product Category “
• By destination, pressing the drop-down button “Destination”
•By month you wish to visit the producer, pressing the drop-down button “Month”.
When you select the filters by pressing the “Find Producers” button, a list of Suppliers will appear showing profiles related to the search.
Each Supplier’s profile includes the following information:
- Brief description of the business/ company, its facilities and awards received. (Information,is provided by Suppliers)
- Images and videos of the business/company, and a map with directions on how to get there.
- A variety of their products and services delivered.
- Production and availability of organic products.
- In different languages, guided tours may be offered.
- Information concerning the variety of activities provided during the visit (if applicable)
- Price/person for the visit and /or proposed activities.
- Tour duration.

- Information on facilities for visitors, such as toilets.
- Information regarding accessibility for people with disabilities.
- Information on whether the Producer provides tastings.
- Information regarding dining facilities for visitors.
- Information on retail store availability.
Once you decide which Supplier you wish to visit, you can make a reservation by pressing the “BOOK NOW” button and filling in the information required.
You will be asked to select the date and time for the visit as well as the number of participants.
Then you will press the “Next” button and see a screen with an overview of your booking, which includes the name of the Supplier, the date and time and the number of visitors.
Next step, you will have to add some personal information such as first and last name, mobile telephone number, and e-mail address. Information is requested in case GASTRONOMY TOURS needs to contact you about the visit.
Next, select between several ticket options provided by the Affiliate Partners (price for adults, price for children, etc.) at the “Booking Options” area, and press the “Continue” button.
At that time, you will see on the screen your Booking Overview, which includes:
The name of the Supplier, the date and time of the visit, and the amount to be paid online.
In the area of “Additional details,” under the “Booking Overview,” you may choose the language to conduct the tour and press the “Complete Booking” button, which will lead you to the Payment Details to fill in a coupon code, if any.
Occasionally, GASTRONOMY TOURS runs promotional events offering coupons that visitors can take advantage of. By including the coupon code in a special box, they may also receive additional offers.
After this, press the “Complete Booking” button, and the screen will show a new page with the booking overview and the space restricted for online payment; fill in the requested credit card information to pay online and then press the “Pay “button to pay the amount marked on the pay button that corresponds to the Reservation Deposit. The amount of the Reservation Deposit shall not be charged to your credit card until you receive a Confirmation Order of your booking from the Supplier; only the credit limit of your card shall be reduced by the corresponding amount of the Reservation Deposit.
At this stage, e-mails will be sent out automatically from GASTRONOMY TOURS:
- To GASTRONOMY TOURS
- To the Supplier
- To you.
Within 48 hours, you will receive a confirmation e-mail along with a booking voucher and other details applicable for your visit (“Confirmation Order/Voucher”). The contract between you and the Supplier will only be concluded when you receive the Confirmation Order/Voucher, and the amount of the Reservation Deposit shall be charged to your credit card.
If the Supplier is unavailable, you will receive a denial email, and the Reservation Deposit amount will be credited back to your card’s limit.
Together with your denial email, you will most often receive a new proposal from the Supplier within the next 12 hours to set up a new visit. If the new proposal offered is suitable for you, you can request another visit with the latest details.
The Confirmation Order/Voucher shall indicate the items you ordered, their total cost, and the sums you have already paid. Upon arrival at the Affiliate Partners, please present the voucher as confirmation of your booking. For purchases from visits to Producers totalling more than 30€/person, you will be reimbursed in the form of a 10% discount or a different one according to the Producer’s discount Polic,y always mentioned while booking as well as on your reservation voucher.
To make reservations for accommodations, you can find all the necessary information on a specially designed platform, indicated in the producer’s profile, and proceed through it.
Information contained on this website does not constitute an offer for the provision of services by the Suppliers but rather a mere invitation to you to make an offer to us to reserve a service. No contract between you and the Supplier shall exist until they have accepted your order. If your offer is refused and the credit limit of your card has been reduced by the corresponding amount of the Reservation Deposit, it will be fully released.
7. AVAILABILITY OF SERVICES BY THE PRODUCERS
All Services (Visits, Activities, Tours, and Overnight Stays) are available on the dates shown in our Calendar unless the Affiliate Partner advises you otherwise.

8. OUR RESERVATION FEES – OUR VOUCHERS/DISCOUNTS
GASTRONOMY TOURS reservation Fees for visits to Producers and Museums amount to 10% of the visit cost, with a minimum of €3 per person, payable by the USER once the Supplier accepts the request.
