Honey Harvesting at Platanorema Farm

The Platanorema Farm is an exceptional example of an agro-tourism resort that combines a landscape of extraordinary natural beauty with the man-made creations built on it.

In the stone-built restaurant, you will find a feast of flavors and assortment of dishes with pork and veal, vegetables from our garden, local cheeses and the famous wines of Halkidiki and Mount Athos, for a culinary experience that will satisfy even the most demanding. At night visitors can rest in the luxurious stone-built guest houses with rustic furnishings and the warmth of the fireplace, listening from the open window to nature’s forgotten sounds. In that part of Chalkidiki, whose beauty remains untouched, on the way to Mount Athos and 5min from the nearest beach, next to Pyrgadikia, the farm offers you its 4 luxurious stone suites with fireplaces and independent kitchens, an unforgettable stay for the family, as well as for good friends and travelers.

At Platanorema we love and support tradition. Here, you can watch the making of traditional pita, made from homemade pie crust according to a local recipe, in our own wood-oven. Here you have the chance to learn how yogurt, using milk from our farm animals, is made. You can also practice making ceramics with the farm’s pottery-maker, as well as watch experienced bee-keepers collect honey. Don’t forget to taste the Platanorema’s tsipouro, which is distilled right in front of your eyes, moments before you drink it.
