Wine Classes at Ampelourgia Mpeka

Ampelourgia Mpeka was established in 1998 as a vertically integrated production unit, signifying a closed and comprehensive production system. Our operations span across two regions, Arkadia and Corinthia, where we cultivate 50 acres of vineyards dedicated to wine production and an additional 10 acres for table grapes of the Sultanina variety. In recent years, we have expanded our agricultural pursuits to include the cultivation of aromatic herbs, such as oregano. We are committed to practicing organic farming across all our land.

Our winemaking endeavors are carried out within the confines of our charming stone winery, nestled in the village of Chotousa, Mantinea, Arkadia. Chotousa, situated at an altitude of approximately 800 meters, lies just beyond Levidi and before Vytina, offering a picturesque setting for our craft.

We take pride in our winemaking process, which places a strong emphasis on organic farming principles. We work with a variety of grape cultivars, including Moschofilero, Malagouzia, Assyrtiko, Moschato, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, all cultivated using organic methods.

Wine appreciation classes are held in the subterranean hall of the winery, which can accommodate around 20 individuals. Seated around our monastery-style table, we embark on a delightful journey of wine tasting, with the sommelier as our trusted guide, revealing the enigmatic world of wine.
