Description
Ampelourgia Mpeka was established in 1998 as a vertically integrated production unit in the Peloponnese. Operations span two regions — Arkadia and Corinthia — with 50 acres of vineyards dedicated to wine production and 10 acres for Sultanina table grapes, plus aromatic herbs such as oregano, all under organic farming principles.
The stone winery sits in the village of Chotousa, Mantinea, Arkadia, at approximately 800 metres altitude. Grape cultivars include Moschofilero, Malagouzia, Assyrtiko, Moschato, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, all organically grown.
Full Estate Experience
- Estate Exploration: Walk the Ampelourgia Mpeka vineyards and production facilities across the estate’s two Peloponnesian sites — understanding the complete vertically integrated wine operation in Arkadia and Corinthia
- Wine Experience: Participate in a guided wine tasting and education session using the estate’s diverse range of Peloponnesian wines
- Seasonal Activities: Engage in seasonal estate activities — harvest, pruning, or nature walks depending on the time of year — connecting physically with the agricultural cycle
Upon your arrival, a warm welcome awaits before a scenic tour of the vineyards. You’ll explore the winery where every step of the winemaking process, from grape to bottle, comes to life — guided by skilled winemakers who explain the complexities of crafting exceptional wines, from harvest to fermentation and aging. The journey concludes with a tasting of some of the finest creations. Explore more Peloponnese experiences.
