Sparkling and sweet wines from Greece and abroad, as well as award-winning Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, sparkling and sweet wines from the world vineyard, await wine lovers to taste them on Sunday, December 11, in the Arts Hall Foyer of the Athens Conservatoire.

For the second year, just before the Christmas holidays, the tasting event of the best wines of the two top categories of wine that ideally define the beginning and end of a dinner is being held: appetizers and dessert wines. Greek wineries and wine importing companies will bring dozens of sparkling and sweet wines from Greek and foreign vineyards to be tasted, among which are great and particularly beloved wines, ideal for the Christmas table, but also for the rest of the year.

Champagnes, prosecco, and Greek sparkling wines will participate alongside iconic sweet Greek wines such as Vinsanto, Mavrodaphni, and Greece islands’ great sweet Muscat. Guests also can sample international vineyard wines from renowned wine regions such as Port, Tokaji, Madeira, and Sauternes.

Greek and wines from abroad sparkling and sweet wines recently distinguished at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles will also be available for tasting, in the presence of the competition president Baudo u in Havaux, who will elaborate on the Greek successes during a round table discussion.

A program of parallel events and masterclasses will accompany “Afros & Nectar”.

The duration of the event is divided in time into two reception periods 11:30 – 15:30 the first and 16:00 – 20:00 the second. Ticket availability is limited to 300 visitors per time slot.

The “Afros & Nectar” event is organized by Vinetum.
