Pitenis

Our journey began in 1973 under the name “Agamemnon Pitenis.” In December 1997, we completed the construction of a state-of-the-art culinary facility spanning 14,000 square meters in the Peloponnese, with 3,000 square meters of dedicated premises — a strategic expansion to meet the demands of domestic and international competition.

By 2003 we were producing over 100 different products, including tzatziki, tarama, hummus, pickled products, seafood dishes, dressings, and sauces, using modern methods and stringent health standards, all rooted in traditional Greek cuisine. In March 2003 we established “Arkafood΄ – A. Pitenis & SIA EE” in Tripoli to handle distribution across the Teris region of the Peloponnese.

In 2009 we expanded distribution into Central Macedonia with a branch in Thessaloniki, and in 2010 extended our presence to the Attica region. Today we collaborate with more than 80 dealers to serve over 11,000 outlets worldwide.

The company holds ISO 22000:2005 certification, ensuring compliance with international food safety management standards. Starting in 2011, Pitenis also introduced the ‘Gourmet’ New Food series, featuring product lines such as Pitenis Premium and Οkeanos EXCLUSIVE.
