Nestled on the slopes of Mount Erymanthos at 794 meters above sea level, this 17th-century post-Byzantine gem offers an unforgettable setting for mushroom enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Once a hidden treasure, the monastery has been fully restored and reopened to welcome visitors. Here, on sacred grounds steeped in history and dedicated to the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, you’ll experience the natural world like never before.

Located near the villages of Agrampela and Platanitsa, the monastery is just 2-3 hours from Athens, making it the perfect day escape into nature.

Want to stay overnight? If you’d like to arrive early and stay at the monastery on Friday night, accommodations are available by prior arrangement.

What to Bring: A basket, a small knife, a soft brush for cleaning mushrooms, and your love for adventure.

Travel: Participants are responsible for their transportation, and payment is in cash at the meeting point.
