Other Shared Mushroom Hunting Events and Locations:
Nestled at an altitude of 1,100 meters on the slopes of Mount Chelmos and hidden within chestnut and fir forests, Zarouchla is one of Achaia’s most beautiful villages. A perfect weekend escape all year round, Zarouchla combines peaceful surroundings, unique excursions, and a range of outdoor activities amidst Greece’s breathtaking natural beauty. Just 10 km away lies Lake Tsivlou—the area’s main attraction—surrounded by dense forests and enchanting views in every season. In winter, snow-covered slopes lend it an alpine look, while in summer, the lake’s refreshing waters invite visitors for a swim.
All Mushroom Foraging Excursions include:
Mushroom and Truffle Identification Seminars: Join our experienced instructors for hands-on workshops on mushroom and truffle identification and harvesting.
Q&A Sessions: Dive into the fascinating world of wild mushrooms and truffles with informative Q&A sessions.
Nature Walks: Enjoy guided walks in stunning forest areas just 2-3 hours from Athens, showcasing the beauty of Greek countryside.

Moments of Rejuvenation: These trips offer a chance to reconnect with nature and refresh your spirit.
Important Participation Guidelines for Outdoor Programs: Mushroom Foraging Association events are open to everyone with a focus on mental and physical well-being, teamwork, and adherence to guidance and instructions. Children are expected to follow the directions of parents, guides, and instructors. Despite strict safety measures, these outdoor activities involve inherent risks, and participation requires an acknowledgment and acceptance of these risks. The Association is committed to providing safe conditions and experienced, trained instructors, ensuring that all safety protocols are observed.
Program Changes by Mushroom Foraging Association: The team reserves the right to modify or cancel events for safety reasons or unforeseen circumstances (natural disasters, adverse weather, strikes, low participation, delayed harvest, etc.). In case of cancellation, a full refund is provided. If the program is modified, an alternative itinerary will be proposed and announced at least a week in advance.
Program Changes by Instructors: Instructors may, at their discretion, adjust an ongoing program to ensure safety. Any additional costs are the responsibility of participants, and refusal to continue with the modified program does not entitle participants to compensation. Additionally, instructors reserve the right to deny participation if a member’s behavior poses a risk to themselves or the group.
Photography and Filming: During activities, participants (adults and children) may be photographed or filmed for promotional purposes (print, website, social media). If you prefer not to appear in our materials, please let us know. By participating, you consent to the collection, recording, and storage of your personal data for service delivery and future notifications about organized trips. All data is kept confidential, and participants can request the deletion of their data at any time.
Respect for Nature and Promotion of Ecological Responsibility: Your participation signifies your agreement to uphold eco-friendly practices, aiming for a zero ecological footprint. Please respect biodiversity, help prevent or reverse negative impacts on nature, and adhere to the following guidelines:
Refrain from leaving any waste (organic or non-organic) in protected areas, especially national parks.
Avoid lighting fires or leaving any flammable materials (cigarettes, matches, lighters) that may pose a fire hazard.
Respect fellow travelers and local wildlife to ensure a serene experience for all.
Each Mushroom Foraging event is designed to promote sustainable development and environmental consciousness, supporting the region and cultivating a love for nature and a commitment to environmental stewardship. Join us for an unforgettable experience that deepens our connection to Greece’s wild landscapes and precious natural heritage.
