We’ll begin our day with a delicious treat — Grandma Maria’s authentic bougatsa, a traditional pastry that has warmed hearts for generations. It’s the perfect way to start our journey — flaky, warm, and filled with love.

Stroll through the charming alleys of the city until we reach “Gyali Kafene”, an old-style café where freshly-roasted coffee fills the air with irresistible aromas. Sip, savour, and soak in the vintage vibes of this historic spot.

Tradition in Silver

Next, we’ll step into the city’s historic centre, where Mr. Dimitris will unveil the secrets of traditional silversmithing, an art passed down from the Ottoman era. See the craftsmanship up close and hear stories of a time when silver was more than just a metal — it was part of everyday life.

A Taste of Metsovo

Time to meet our friends from Metsovo, who’ve brought their delicacies from the mountains to the heart of the city. You’ll taste handmade cheeses, cold cuts, and local wine, all crafted with love and expertise from their 40-year family tradition.

Legends of the Castle

Now, we head to the iconic Ioannina Castle, where the stone paths and narrow alleys whisper tales of Ali Pasha and Kyra-Frosini. Let history come alive as you walk through one of Greece’s most storied fortresses.

Cooking Together

To close our day, we’ll gather in a cosy local restaurant to make a traditional Epirus pie together. Then we’ll sit down, share stories, and enjoy the meal we’ve prepared — the perfect ending to a cultural and culinary adventure.
