Description

Ampelourgia Mpeka was established in 1998 as a vertically integrated production unit, signifying a closed and comprehensive production system. Our operations span across two regions, Arkadia and Corinthia, where we cultivate 50 acres of vineyards dedicated to wine production and an additional 10 acres for table grapes of the Sultanina variety. In recent years, we have expanded our agricultural pursuits to include the cultivation of aromatic herbs, such as oregano. We are committed to practicing organic farming across all our land.

Our winemaking endeavors are carried out within the confines of our charming stone winery, nestled in the village of Chotousa, Mantinea, Arkadia. Chotousa, situated at an altitude of approximately 800 meters, lies just beyond Levidi and before Vytina, offering a picturesque setting for our craft.

We take pride in our winemaking process, which places a strong emphasis on organic farming principles. We work with a variety of grape cultivars, including Moschofilero, Malagouzia, Assyrtiko, Moschato, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, all cultivated using organic methods.

Our winery is well-equipped to accommodate both organized groups and individual visitors, including wine enthusiasts eager to sample our exceptional wines alongside local delicacies. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to welcome you and share our passion for winemaking with you.

Tour and Tasting

Our winery’s guided tours commence with informative explanations that take you on a journey from the vineyard to the moment you savor the result in your glass. After the tour, you’ll have the delightful opportunity to indulge in the wines you’ve tasted in the enchanting settings of our winery. During this time, you’ll engage in discussions about winemaking methods with our gracious host, Ms. Meletsi Sophia. She is the person who will guide you through this experience, providing you with insights into the local cuisine and its flavors.

As you sip the wines, you will gain a deeper understanding of the entire production process, from the cultivation of the vines to the bottling of the wine. Additionally, you will delve into the rich history of the region and its longstanding relationship with wine and the products that have been crafted here for centuries. At one of our two monastery-style tables, we will treat you to wine tastings and introduce you to some of our spirits, all perfectly complemented by a selection of cheeses and charcuterie.
