4th PELION GASTRONOMY FESTIVAL
“The heritage of local gastronomic products combined with tourism should meet and coexist in harmony to become a pillar of local growth.” This is the objective of the PELION GASTRONOMY FESTIVAL, scheduled to take place at Karaiskos Farm in Portaria on June 28, 29, and 30, 2024.
The local food and gastronomy, are intricately tied to people’s experiences, memories, and moments, forming a ritualistic process that stays in their mind for long after the visit.
The authentic experience of a destination’s lifestyle largely depends on the participation of residents and local stakeholders. Hence, the concept of a gastronomic festival at Karaiskos farm was conceived, aiming to showcase local products, and rural activities present in Pelion, and host supporting events in an ideal setting.
In its 4th edition this year, the festival, a gastronomic celebration, will focus on nurturing youth creativity and sensitivity towards gastronomy issues through expert speeches and engaging gastronomic activities and workshops.
