ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
For those passionate about olive oil and eager to explore its world more deeply, the Olive Oil Enthusiast Tour offers a semi-private, in-depth experience led personally by Biolea’s owner and head of olive oil production, Chloe Dimitriadis.
Chloe will guide you through the secrets of organic and sustainable cultivation, advanced harvesting techniques for optimal quality, and a behind-the-scenes look at our unique production process. You’ll also enjoy a mini seminar that reveals what defines true olive oil quality—and how to recognize it for yourself.
What makes this tour truly exceptional is its detailed exploration of how two distinct production methods, applied to two different Cretan olive varieties, result in premium extra virgin olive oils with unique profiles.
Following the tour, you’ll be seated in the garden of our restaurant for a guided tasting served in professional tasting glasses. You’ll explore the sensory characteristics of four olive oils:
Two different Cretan olive varieties, each produced using a different method.
Two naturally citrus-infused olive oils, highlighting our creativity and craftsmanship.
The experience continues with a light seasonal lunch prepared by our in-house chef. Each dish is thoughtfully crafted using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and, of course, our own olive oil. A complimentary beverage is included.
