Ktima Spiropoulos is located in the heart of Arcadia in the Mantineia region of Peloponnese, at 627 metres above sea level — a few hundred yards from the ancient walls, market, and theatre of the ancient city of Mantineia. Designed in 1987 by Dr. Argyris Petronotis, Professor of Architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and constructed in 1989, the estate is defined by its striking traditional Arcadian stone tower that dominates the modern winery building.
Located one kilometre from the site of Ancient Mantineia and close to the architectural landmark of the church of Agia Fotini on the Anchisi Road — which since mythical times has connected Mantineia to Arcadian Orchomenos — the estate is as rich in history as it is in wine.
In the Protected Designation of Origin area of Mantinia, more than 35 hectares are cultivated with the Moschofilero grape variety at altitudes ranging from 627 to 655 metres across three zones: the Artemisio region, the collective vineyard of Zevgolatio, and the collective vineyard of the village of Agiorgitika.
Book your guided winery tour and wine tasting experience at Ktima Spiropoulos in Mantineia, Arcadia.
