Venetsanos Wine Museum

Venetsanos wine museum is located just above the Santorini port of Athinios and has a splendid view towards the iconic caldera. The Venetsanos family, with its long tradition in wine production used to market its wines on the island but over the years began exporting, mostly to Russia.
The winery was built in 1947 and became the first industrialized winery in Santorini. Its most characteristic feature is its structural design, which used gravity to improve energy efficiency when electricity and other energy sources were very limited.

TOUR AND TASTING

At our winery, our primary focus is providing guided tours of the museum space, which highlights Santorini’s inaugural industrial winery. Guests are invited to savor our wines during tastings on the outdoor terrace, offering panoramic views of the Caldera.

During these tastings, we offer detailed presentations of each wine, accompanied by the opportunity to complement your selection with locally-inspired dishes from our menu.
