Description
Mykonos Vioma Organic Farm, a small agro-tourism business run by the Asimomytis family since 1994, stands out for its dedication to organic and biodynamic farming. Initially established for wine-grape production and winemaking, the farm is rooted in a philosophy that celebrates the love of all things natural.
Located on the historic vineyard of the Virgin Mary Monastery of Ano Mera in the Maou region of Mykonos, Mykonos Vioma has evolved into more than just a high-quality vineyard. Today, it offers Mykonos visitors a genuine culinary and cultural experience, reflecting the values the Asimomytis family holds dear: simplicity and a deep appreciation for nature.
What truly makes Mykonos Vioma special is its welcoming atmosphere. Visitors are treated like family guests, engaging with the farm and its surroundings in an easy-going and heartfelt manner. This unique approach ensures that every visitor leaves with a deeper connection to the land and its traditions.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
We proudly serve wines produced from the organically grown grapes of our vineyard, accompanied by cold dishes featuring traditional products that offer a glimpse into the rich culinary heritage of the Cyclades. Guests can choose from two menu options.
During the wine and local products tasting, guests are invited to join our informative talk, lasting approximately 20-30 minutes and offered daily based on availability. This engaging session includes:
- A captivating narration of the vineyard’s history.
- Detailed explanations about our wines and the unique climatic and agricultural aspects of the island.
For groups of 2-20 people, the informative talk is presented as a walking tour through the vineyard, providing an immersive experience. For larger groups (over 20 people), the talk is held on the terrace, allowing guests to enjoy their wine and local products tasting while learning about the vineyard.
This enriching experience combines the pleasure of fine wine and traditional Cycladic flavors with educational insights, creating a memorable and enjoyable visit for all guests.
