Description
Nestled in a magnificent 19th-century stone building on Samos, the Museum of Samos Wine offers a captivating journey into the rich history and tradition of Samos wine, in the Aegean Islands. Originally a private winery, this historic building later served as a warehouse and barrel-making facility before transforming into a museum in 2005.
The museum’s layout, designed with modern museum science, takes visitors on a chronological journey through the traditional vineyard cultivation of Samos. Particularly striking are the huge wooden tanks, which were in use until just a few decades ago.
