Nektarios Filippopoulos, a specialist in wild mushrooms and truffles in Greece, founded his company to be able to collect everything the earth gives us in abundance, mushrooms, greens, herbs, truffles, wild fruits and much more and supply the best restaurants in Greece and abroad, quickly and safely, leaving zero footprints on nature. It allowed hundreds of people to demystify wild mushrooms, and get to know them without fearing them, they saw up close how they are harvested and understood that they can consume them without fear.
Together with his partners, experienced and trained mushroom pickers, they carry out dozens of seminars, excursions and collections of mushrooms that end up in the frying pan or the pot of qualified chefs.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
We organize exciting excursions and seminars in nature to introduce you to the fascinating world of wild mushrooms. We aim to highlight the joys and benefits of foraging by collecting wild mushrooms and truffles. These adventures offer an unparalleled experience in Greece’s lush and diverse mushroom habitats. Our expert team safely collects over 60 types of edible mushrooms, including exquisite porcini, chanterelles, morels, and wild truffles.
Excursion Program:
Welcome and Introduction: We first meet at our scenic meeting point for a warm welcome in Zarouchla. Zarouchla is located on the slope of the mountain of Chelmos. With an altitude of more than a thousand meters, Zarouchla is certainly one of the most beautiful villages not only in Achaia but also in the entire Peloponnese.
The forest you will encounter on the outskirts of the settlement, densely planted with fir and pine trees will fill your lungs with fresh air and your eyes with the unobstructed view of the greenery that stretches before you.
Winding streets made of stone and traditional mountain houses create a setting awash with extreme picturesqueness.
Our lead guide will give a brief but engaging presentation on mushrooms and truffles, providing essential collection, identification, and safety tips.
Guided Forest Hike (2-3 hours): We embark on a picturesque hike through the forest, where you’ll collect mushrooms and/or truffles with guidance from seasoned foragers. Along the way, participate in an informative seminar that teaches you how to distinguish between different types of mushrooms, including poisonous, medicinal, and edible varieties.
Truffle Hunting: Experience the excitement of truffle hunting with specially trained dogs. Watch these amazing animals in action as they help us unearth these hidden treasures.
Gourmet Picnic: At a breathtaking natural spot, such as a river or waterfall, we gather to identify and discuss the collected mushrooms. While you relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, our talented chef prepares mouthwatering dishes featuring wild mushrooms and truffles, such as orzotto and omelettes. These gourmet treats are paired with fine wine and local delicacies for a truly unforgettable dining experience.
Note: The walking routes are short and adaptable to suit the physical abilities of all participants, making this excursion perfect for ages 5 to 80+.

Bruschetta with wild garlic oil and Naxos butter with truffle.
Omelette with graviera or pecorino cheese and truffle flakes served on bread.
Orzotto (or risotto) with wild mushrooms and truffle, or mushroom soup with trahana and truffle butter.
Wine from a barrel.
Menu for Private Truffle/Mushroom Hunting:
Bruschetta with truffle butter.
Greek salad with pickled wild mushrooms.
Omelette with graviera or pecorino cheese and truffle flakes on bread, or Saganaki with aromatic Golden Trumpet mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, and feta.
Aglio e olio pasta with truffle flakes, or orzotto with wild mushrooms.
Black Angus picanha, baby potatoes with truffle butter and truffle flakes.
Bottled wine.
Crepes with yoghurt, Golden Trumpet mushroom spoon sweet, and elderflower.
