In Crete, the Politakis family olive mill has been producing extra virgin olive oil since 1950. With decades of deep-rooted experience in Cretan olive oil production, the Politakis mill continues a tradition that honours both the ancient art of olive oil making and the exceptional quality of Cretan olives. The modern facilities are located in the Peza area of the Prefecture of Heraklion, 10 km from the archaeological site of Knossos.
