Mercouri Estate, an old family owned enterprise, celebrated last year 156 years of history. Situated near Korakochori Ilias, by the sea, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, 5 generations of the Mercouri-Kanellakopoulos family, from 1864 to date, cultivate the land with love, producing premium wines and extra virgin olive oil. Since then, many things may have changed, but one remained the same. The constant effort to produce products of the highest possible quality, typical of their varieties and our teroir. Today, the Mercouri Estate cultivates in its own vineyards in Korakochori its traditional variety Refosco, the Greek varieties Mavrodaphne, Avgoustiatis, Agiorgitiko, Assyrtiko and Robola, the Italian varieties of Greek origin, Negroamaro and Malvazia Aromatica and the international varieties Syrah, Mourvèdre, Viognier and Albariño, out of which a range of premium dry and sweet wines is produced, while from the olive groves of the Estate, planted with the variety Koroneiki, a superb Extra Virgin Olive Oil completes its products. Additionally, the provision of very high-level wine tourism services has been added to its activities.
