Description
The Tzivani family has been dealing with viticulture and winemaking using exquisite grape varieties since 1982 close to Halkida on the island of Euboea. Lovers of good wine themselves, they have planted in their 28 Ha, privately-owned organic vineyards in Ritsona and Arma of Viotia prefecture, high-quality Greek and international grape varietals such as Malagouzia, Agiorgitiko, Athiri, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, among others.
The estate’s vineyard is located in an area of unparalleled beauty, known since antiquity for its microclimate and ideal for the production of excellent wines. The altitudinal differences and soil composition contribute to the complexity and peculiarity of the flavours and aromas that distinguish the wines of the Tzivanis estate.
The main vision of the family is to develop the particular character of each variety both at the vineyard and then at the winery, so as to fully develop the unique personality of each wine.
The wines are exported to many countries and have received awards both in Greek and international competitions, with gold awards in Berlin, Lyon, Vienna, Shanghai, Daejeon (Korea), Tokyo, London, and elsewhere.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Grape harvest is the most important stage of the year for the vine farmers and wine producers since the quality of the grapes has a great influence on the quality of the wine. It is the last of the viticultural stages, in which visitors can participate as well as experience the age-old stomping of the grapes.
