Description
Agios Antonios Women’s Agricultural Cooperative was founded in June 1999 and was the first women’s cooperative to be established in the Prefecture of Thessaloniki in the region of Chalkidiki.
The purpose of the cooperative is to employ women living in small rural villages, enabling them to increase their family income, contribute to regional development, and preserve and extend tradition through the production and distribution of carefully crafted, healthy, high-quality handmade products.
The cooperative uses recipes that reflect the region’s cultural heritage: Perek, with handmade filo wood-baked in a kiln; siron; ivristo; makarina; hilopites; trahana; jams; and spoon sweets made from fresh fruit, without additives or preservatives.
The cooperative’s coffee and sweet shop, Cafeglikopolio, is located 35 km from Thessaloniki, at the most beautiful spot of the village of Agios Antonios, from where you can enjoy the views of Mount Olympus and the seasonal colours of nature while enjoying a coffee, the spoon sweets, traditional perek, galaktoboureko, pita, ravani, and other treats.
Tour & Traditional Sweets Tasting
