Description

At the village of Orologio at the island of Evia, 15 km from Kymi, chemist-oenologist Sophocles Panagiotou and economist Georgios Panagiotou established Septem Microbrewery in June 2009 to produce unpasteurized beer.
Septem means ‘seven’ in Latin and is the number of Creation, and the inspiration for giving the name of each day to each of seven types of beer produced.
Septem Microbrewery produces exclusively non-pasteurized beers to preserve the beers’ flavor characteristics by avoiding the thermal treatment of pasteurization.
Our belief is that beer is not just a refreshing summer drink, but a beverage providing gastronomic enjoyment as is the case with wine, malt whisky, coffee, and so on.

TOUR AND TASTING

Visitors will be offered a detailed presentation of the entire process of beer production, the brewing premises and the bottling line.
Following that, a tasting session of beer drawn directly from the fermentation tanks is offered with information for each one of them.
