Description

Vasilis Papagiannis and his daughter Marilena Papagiannis pay respect to the regional winemaking traditions, by producing wines which clearly express the characteristics of the grape varieties and the vineyards of the Attica region.
Papagiannis Winery is focused on cultivating mainly greek indigenous white grapes varieties, such as Savatiano and Malagousia and also producing Retsina based on Savatiano grapes. In recent years Papagiannis Winery cultivates Merlot in Attica’s soils. 

TOUR AND TASTING

Visitors will have a guided tour in the winery’s premises and more specifically they will visit the production, the bottling and the wine storage area.
During their visit, they will learn everything about the wine history of Attica’s region and they will have the opportunity to taste 4 different wines.

Booking Options

  • Tasting of 4 wines

    Visitors will taste four different wines (three white, including the traditional Retsina and one red wine) and they will learn everything about how to taste a wine. The wine tasting will be accompanied by small barley rusks and Greek olives.
    Duration: 45 min.

  • Tour and Tasting of 4 Wines

    Visitors will be guided in the winery’s premises and they will be informed about the whole wine production. There will be also information about the grape varieties and their characteristics.
    Then, the visitors will taste four different wines (three white, including the traditional retsina and one red wine) and they will learn everything about how to taste a wine. The wine tasting will be accompanied by small barley rusks and Greek olives.
