Welcome to Honey Farm Melissokomia Apospori, a hidden gem nestled in the historic district of Marathon, just 1 kilometer from the renowned Archaeological Museum of Marathon, in the picturesque Vrana region of Attica. Here, where history and nature unite, we offer the perfect day trip experience for all ages.

Step into the captivating world of bees with our educational and interactive programs. Discover the history of beekeeping from ancient times to the present day, observe their harmonious society up close, and spot the queen among her diligent workers. We’ll take you inside the hive to showcase the tools of the trade and how we harvest royal jelly, pollen, and honey.

Apospori Honey Farm Visit near Marathon, Attica

  • Marathon Honey Farm Visit: Discover this hidden gem apiary in the historic Marathon district and learn about beekeeping in one of Attica‘s most historically significant landscapes
  • Attica Honey Heritage: Understand how the rich botanical diversity of the Marathon and Penteli area — wild thyme, aromatic herbs, and wildflowers — creates exceptional Attica honey
  • Honey Tasting: Taste Apospori’s artisan Attica honey and experience the distinctive character of honey produced in this historic landscape, honoured in the Anthology of Greek Gastronomy

Indulge in a honey tasting experience, sampling a variety of flavors from award-winning production. Our honey is unprocessed and comes straight from the hives, bursting with flavour and health benefits. We’ll also introduce you to other beneficial bee products, including propolis, royal jelly, pollen, beeswax cream, candles, and handmade glycerin and honey soaps. For younger guests, we offer a fun creative activity: painting real wooden hives.
