Barounis family’s ‘Elladiko’ olive press, located today 25km north of Kalamata, began operating in 1974. Centrifugal machines were introduced to the olive press in 1986, while the olive press was fully refurbished and equipped with state-of-the-art machinery in 2007 and 2017. It is an eco-friendly, two-phase olive press.
As a result, the Barounis family engaged in the world of olive oil richly informed with know-how, whilst continuously gaining more knowledge. Through time we have shown love, artistry, passion, respect, and responsibility for the fruit that has been worshipped and honored as a symbol of our country and culture.
