“Open Breweries” is an initiative of the Hellenic Association of Brewers organized with remarkable success in 2018, 2019 and 2022.
This year, the Hellenic Association of Brewers announces the dates of the “Open Breweries” 2023 event.
The members of the Hellenic Association of Brewers actively supporting this successful initiative, open their breweries to the public during the last weekend of September, specifically on Saturday 30/09/23 and Sunday 1/10/23.
The breweries of the Association that will participate in the 2023 initiative are the following:
- Athinaiki Brewery
- Elixi Microbrewery
- Pineios Brewery
- Cretan Breweries -Zidianakis
- Cretan Brewery
- Cyclades Microbrewery on Tinos Island
- Local streets beer Microbrewery
- Septem Microbrewery
- Olympic Brewery
- Siris Craft Brewery

Purpose:
The “Open Breweries” initiative gives the opportunity to the public to visit some of the most important breweries and microbreweries all over the country.
Through visiting the breweries, consumers get to know the characteristics and the history of beer, become familiar with beer production procedures, learn about the ingredients used in beer making, meet the brewers in person, and they also taste various types of beer.
Type of activities offered by the breweries:
(Each brewery decides on the activities that will be offered to the visitors)
- Guided tours in the brewing process facilities of the breweries
- Guided beer tasting of various types of beer, to get familiar with the way beer is tasted.
- Presentation of the beer history
- Opportunity to meet the brewers in person and to interact directly.
- Tasting of well-known beers and new beer recipes
- Tasting of fresh beer directly from the production
Entrance & Participation in activities:
Entrance to the breweries and participation in the activities is free of charge.
Especially for the guided tours & beer tastings, it is recommended to communicate directly with the brewery you plan to visit, in order to be informed of specific opening days & hours and to book your tour (all breweries have a limited number of people by specific activity, so booking or registration is required).
Kindly note that beer consumption is not allowed for people under the age of 18 while keeping a reminder that we always consume responsibly!
