Rizogalo (rice pudding) is a very simple, delicious and traditional homemade dessert with milk and rice as basic ingredients – and made into a pastry jewel in the hands of women who decorated it with cinnamon, painting flower pots and designs all around, especially when they offered it at formal tables.
It was also made by the bride to offer it to her mother-in-law. They usually put it in large plates and handed it over, holding an embroidered white towel made of silk fabric under the plate.
