2nd Gastronomy Week in Amorgos (16/09 – 23/09)

The main purpose was and still remains the same.
1. To profile and highlight the emergence of the local produce and traditional products, the rich gastronomy culture of Amorgos, from past to present day, not only here in Greece, but also internationally.
2. To introduce and engage the local population and foreign visitors.
3. To use local products and recipes from restaurants and hotels of Amorgos.

The innovation behind this year’s event is the plan to include tastes from the Mikres Cyclades (Koufonissi, Shinoussa, Donoussa, Iraklia)! Local producers and chefs will be in attendance during the week to pique visitors’ interest in the area’s diverse tastes!

The “Amorgos Gastronomy Week” will take place at the same time as the “Authentic Big Blue 2018”, which this year celebrates the anniversary of the French film “Big Blue”, the inspiration for this international freediving event.

This year, we have prepared several activities, including themed dinners, cooking of traditional recipes, tours to local producers, a wine festival, etc.
