Description

Inspired by the natural landscape and the exceptional olive oil quality of Kranidi, the Olive Oil Museum houses an old olive mill dating back to 1700 as well as two others from later periods. You will discover the process of olive oil making, as the museum mimics an old olive oil mill.
Kranidi, since ancient times, is known for its exceptional olive oil quality & production. The area has centuries-old olive trees, in which there is a reference to Pausanias (a Greek traveler and geographer of the second century AD).
We are excited to share the story of Bairaktaris’ family, with people visiting our museum from all over the world!
