Description
In Macedonia, in the heart of the prefecture of Florina, in the Amyndaeon region, on the outskirts of Agios Panteleimon, lays a unique vineyard surrounded by the four lakes of Zazari, Himaritida, Petron, and Vegoritis.
This four-lakes vineyard is the most important part of the Aminteo Protected Designation of Origin zone. It is the most mountainous vineyard in Greece, and with a size of 850 Ha is the largest vineyard in Macedonia. The dominant grape variety is the Xinomavro.
The philosophy of the Vegoritis Winery is to produce quality wines with the best value for money, by cultivating and exploiting the regional vineyards using traditional methods in combination with new techniques and equipment of the latest technology.
TOUR AND TASTING
Visitors to the winery will tour the vineyard, learn about its history and the special terroir, be guided at the winery’s premises, enjoy tasting our wines, and may make their purchases from our retail store before leaving.
