Description
Step into the heart of Cretan tradition and immerse yourself in an experience that connects you to thousands of years of history. In a world where everything is fast and convenient, we invite you to slow down, embrace the past, and bring it to life in the present. Experience bread as it was made generations ago—crafted with care, love, and time.
What We’ll Do
Your experience begins with a warm welcome: a homemade refreshment or a traditional Greek coffee served by your hostess.
As you sip and enjoy some delicious cookies, you’ll be introduced to the age-old process of sourdough bread-making. You’ll then roll up your sleeves to mix the perfect dough, with the chance to add your own creative twist—whether it’s olives, sun-dried tomatoes, or seeds.
While the dough rests, take a stroll through our olive grove, where you’ll learn about the ancient art of olive oil harvesting and the secrets of infusing olive oil with aromatic herbs.
With our dough ready, it’s time to shape our individual loaves and place them into the wood-fired oven. While they bake to perfection, we’ll harvest fresh vegetables from our farm to prepare a delicious Cretan Salad, along with seasonal appetizers like Greek fava beans.
Finally, it’s time to pull our golden loaves from the oven—each one uniquely yours. The aroma will be irresistible! Enjoy your freshly baked bread, paired with our fragrant herb-infused extra-virgin olive oil, alongside the fresh side dishes we’ve prepared, and plenty of local wine to accompany the feast.
And don’t forget to leave room for dessert—a sweet treat to end your authentic Cretan culinary experience.
This is more than just baking bread—it’s a celebration of tradition, flavor, and the simple joys of life.
