Description

Giorgos Vassiliou, founder of the winery and oenologist, bottled his first wine “Hegemon” a “Grande Reserve Nemea” wine and the “Nemion Reserve Estate” produced at the Nemeion Estate isobaric winery, in 2004.
The vineyards of the estate, certified by IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements) as organic, comprise of more than 80,000 roots are located at an altitude between 400 to 600 meters in the PDO Nemea zone, where the local microclimate is the ideal environment for the Agiorgitiko variety to grow.
The estate’s wines age in Seguin Moreau & Berthomieu barrels, renewed every year at a rate of 20% per year to maintain the winery’s high quality standards. After aging in barrels, wines continue their aging in bottles for one or even two years without any compromise on quality, before they are released to the market.
