Description
Mavromatis Distillery is a family-owned business with deep roots in Corfu’s tradition. Its first workshop was established in 1965 in the city of Corfu, specializing in processing kumquat to produce sweets and liqueurs.
In 1984, the company relocated to the road leading to Paleokastritsa, and in 2008, it moved into a state-of-the-art facility. Today, its production absorbs 80% of the island’s total kumquat yield. With 300 of its own kumquat trees and produce from local growers, the distillery crafts premium kumquat liqueur and traditional spoon sweet.
The undisputed star of its offerings is the red kumquat liqueur—a drink with a distinctive flavour and unique aroma crafted from the fruit’s peel. This traditional Corfiot product has been made with the same family passion since 1965.
