Klonaras Farm

The Livestock Unit “Klonara” is situated in Taxiarchis, within the municipality of Herakleota in the Grevena region of Macedonia. Established by Michalis and Soultana Klonara in 1997, the unit relocated to modern facilities spanning 2500 square meters in 2007.

Within these contemporary facilities, we specialize in breeding sheep of the Greek Chios breed, known for its dairy production. In 2009, the unit began a collaboration with the “MAKEDONIA” Sheep Farming Cooperative, the sole official entity dedicated to enhancing the Chios sheep breed, providing PEDIGREE certification.

This family-operated mountain farm involves the active contribution of all family members, and was honored with the 1st prize as the best livestock unit in Greece in 2014.
